Micah has been at The Brace Place since 2007. She especially enjoys the one-on-one contact with the new patients and is one of the first people you will meet on your first visit. She is a native of Bend and enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and entertaining friends. She enjoys jogging along the Deschutes with her iPod and has a twin sister who is her total opposite. A tall blonde! Her favorite thing about the doctors is their sense of humor and how their skills and personalities compliment one another so well.
Carolyn has been at The Brace Place since 2006. She really enjoys getting to know the patients and building a lasting friendship with them. She enjoys riding quads at the sand dunes, hunting and camping. She and her husband, Jason stay busy raising their three children: Jason, Jr., Justin and Anna. She is most impressed with how well the doctors communicate with one another as well as the staff and loves the great working environment.
Lora has worked in orthodontics for 28 years and been at The Brace Place since 1994. Her favorite part of her job is being able to help others. She is a native of Indiana and has lived in Bend for the last 15 years. During her free time she enjoys camping, snowmobiling, shopping, eating chocolate, and spending time with her two very spoiled dogs, Tucker and Arty. She especially appreciates how the doctors accomplish their goals with each patient while keeping a fun upbeat atmosphere at the same time.
Becky Grindeland(Orthodontic Assistant)
Becky is our latest addition to our Brace Place family coming to us from the valley. She has been in ortho since 1995 and enjoys interacting with the patients and watching them progress from reserved smiles to beaming confident smiles! Becky, husband Shane and their young daughter Samantha are looking forward to exploring all that Central Oregon has to offer, especially all the festivals! They enjoy the outdoors on their bikes and motorcycles and their chocolate lab Porter really loves all the water around our area!
Cyndi has worked at The Brace Place for 28 years. On her 20th anniversary the doctors gifted her with a trip to Italy to show their appreciation! She is called â€śFairy Godmotherâ€ť because she loves helping people to become their best selves and feels privileged to help give the gift of a wonderful smile. She believes a beautiful smile is such a great asset in life. She has lived in Central Oregon for 30 years and enjoys movies, cooking, traveling, and her family. Her kitty, Katey-Sue, rules her house. Cyndi has a great passion for her work and the work the doctors do with the specialized care and expertise they provide each individual. She finds it exciting to work with such a high caliber of people, and it makes her job even more rewarding. She really enjoys the sense of play that each doctor brings to work that lightens the environment.
Cheri has worked at The Brace Place since 1992. She loves the variety of duties that she performs daily. Answering phones, scheduling appointments, taking x-rays, giving dental health tips, and greeting patients. She is always enthusiastic and eager to help in whatever capacity she's needed. Originally from California, she has lived in Bend for 30 years and enjoys anything to do with snow, water, sun, or rain. She loves to ski, swim, camp, and work in her garden and spoil her family, including her cat, Thomas. Her favorite thing about the doctors is how well they all work together as a team and value each employee's input.
Pauline has worked in dentistry for over 27 years and has been at The Brace Place since 2007. She says, "It's exciting to watch our patients' faces change over time and watch them grow accustomed to a beautiful smile!" She is a native of Washington and has lived in Central Oregon for 7 years. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, reading, going to the beach, working out, and hiking. Pauline married her "High School Sweetheart," has 3 sons, and is also the proud parent of a Welsh Corgi named Rocky. She truly believes we have the best orthodontists and is quick to add we have a marriage of experience and expertise along with the latest technologies. Pauline is midway through her braces treatment and can share first hand her experience with braces and has all kinds of fun tips and stories to share!
Karla has been at The Brace Place since 1995 and wears many hats; she's our "Go To Gal" for most everything. She appreciates her coworkers very much and loves how everybody pitches in and does what needs to be done, plus how well everyone works as a team. Her friendly personality makes the patients feel like part of "Our Family." In her spare time, she enjoys skiing and playing in her yard. Karla has been happily married for 25 years. She appreciates our doctors' commitment, passion, and care they give to each patient.
Kelli has spent 30 years in the orthodontic field and been with The Brace Place since 1999. Because of her vast experience she can assist in many aspects of our office. She spends most of her time with her buddy Karla in the financial end of the practice. Kelli was born in Oregon, lived in Northern California in the fabulous Redwoods for 10 years and returned to Oregon at the age of 16. She stays busy with her 3 boys, 2 grandchildren, and a spoiled Welsh Corgi. She and her husband enjoy camping, fishing, traveling, and working in the yard. Her favorite part about her job is the positive work environment. She believes our doctors are perfectionists and very dedicated and is impressed with how well they communicate with patients and family members.
Shanda was a recent patient at The Brace Place and spent 16 years as a radio personality and promotions director. She is originally from El Centro, California, and has lived in San Diego, Ohio, and Germany before settling in Central Oregon 22 years ago. She is a professional belly dancer and enjoys riding horses and spending time with her kids, Shawn and Cassidy. Shanda loves the age range of the patients and is especially thrilled to see more adults coming in for braces.
